Atlantic salmon fish is one of those rich foods having omega 3 fatty acids. I often cook fish at home. It's either tilapia or salmon. The traditional way of making fish fry is in the tava using little oil, called shallow fry. My mom makes fish fry that way. I used the same masala for fish marination but instead of shallow fry on a pan, i grilled the fish in conventional oven for about 25 minutes. Usually fish gets cooked faster so we might just need to grill for 10 minutes in case of small pieces. I used the big pieces of salmon as such which required about 25 minutes to get cooked completely.
Ingredients:
1 pound Atlantic salmon fish
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves or parsley leaves
1 tsp black pepper powder
2 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
Steps:
1. Clean the fish pieces thoroughly by adding a pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Then to the fish pieces add chilli powder.
2. Add coriander powder, garam masala, salt, oil, pepper powder, turmeric powder and lemon juice.
Coat both sides of the fish pieces well with the masala.
3. Top it with chopped parsley or coriander leaves. Let it stand for 15-20 minutes before we grill them in the oven. If you do not have oven, you can shallow fry the fish pieces in a pan by adding little oil.

4. Now, preheat the oven to 350 F. The fish pieces are well marinated and ready to get grilled! Make few slits alongside the fish so that the masala gets into the fish like the way I have done here.

5. Place the fish pieces in the oven and broil on high for 12 minutes. I have used big pieces hence using high broil option. If you cut fishes into small pieces use low temperature while broiling.

6. Salmon fish releases oil while frying. You can see white slushy liquid in the fish, it's nothing but the oil from the fish.
7. After 12 minutes, flip the fish pieces and broil on high for another 12 minutes. Check the fish if it's cooked well. If you need it to be well done, you can broil another 5 minutes. This is how the broiled fish looks like. It tasted real good.
