Chicken keema is a regular south indian dish made with minced chicken. Chicken keema can be used to stuff dosa or samosa. Let's see the ingredient list we need to prepare the dish either with chicken pieces or minced chicken.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg boneless chicken pieces/or minced chicken
2 green chillies
2 medium sized onions
2 medium sized tomatoes
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp saunf
1 bay leaf
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Steps:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Then add saunf, bay leaf, cinnamon stick. Saute for a minute. I haven't added bay leaf and cinnamon here as my family doesn't like those flavours in this dish. But i personally prefer to have cinnamon and bay leaf :)
2. Add ginger garlic paste, slit green chillies. Saute till raw smell of ginger-garlic goes away.

3. Add chopped onions, saute for 3 minutes.

4. Add chopped tomatoes, saute till the tomatoes get mushy.

5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder. Add little water. Whenever we add any masala powder to a dish, adding little bit of water helps in avoiding the burning smell of the powder.

6. Let it boil for 5 minutes.

7. In case you have boneless chicken pieces, add them to a mixer and blend it once. You will get minced chicken meat. If you have store bought minced chicken, use it directly without blending.

8. Add minced chicken to the pan along with salt and cook it for 15 minutes, covering the pan with a lid.

9. Chicken is cooked well and blended with the masalas.

10. Add coriander leaves and mix it well. Switch off the flame.

11. Chicken keema is ready to be served :)
