Shallots Chicken curry is kind of an easy and simple recipe as it revolves around just the very basic ingredients. Shallots or pearl onions are considered healthy as compared to the regular onions and i prefer to use these shallots for any non-vegetarian recipe as they tend to enhace the taste of the dish.

Ingredients:
500 gms of chicken
4-5 shallots or pearl onions
10-12 dried red chillies
salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
2 tsp black pepper powder
1 cup of water
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp of cooking oil
How to make shallots chicken curry:
1. Heat a pan or kadai and dry roast the dried red chillies for 2 minutes on medium flame.

2. Then add shallots and roast till smoky flavour comes out. This might take 3-4 minutes. Switch off the flame and let it cool.

3. Heat a heavy bottomed kadai or wok or pan and add 2 tsp of cooking oil. I used olive oil. You can use corn oil or vegetable oil or even gingely oil for a better taste. Add clean chicken pieces. Then add turmeric and ginger garlic paste. Saute for 5 minutes.

4. Cook on high flame and keep stirring.

5. The chicken pieces get tender by now.

6. Once the dry roasted spices are cooled down, add it to a mixer or blender.

7. Sprinkle some water and grind it to a smooth paste.

8. Add the ground shallot chilli paste to the chicken pan.

9. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook it covered for 10 minutes.

10. Now, add chopped coriander leaves and salt.

11. Keep stirring the chicken now and then till the oil starts separating from the sides of the pan.

12. Finally add black pepper powder and mix it thoroughly. Switch off the flame.

13. Tasty chicken curry is ready.

Tip: You can also make it like a gravy by adding a cup of water or even more as per your need.
