Shrimps and fish are one of those foods which get cooked in couple of minutes unlike meat. Shrimp stir fry is what i make when i do not have time cook any elaborate non-vegetarian meals. It's so easy and does not need any much of preparation time as well.

In this shrimp stir fry recipe, I just marinate the shrimps with ginger-garlic paste, paprika, turmeric, salt, olive oil, some garam masala and finally fresh coriander leaves and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then shallow fry or stir fry using few drops of olive oil on a skillet or griddle. That's it, the tasty side dish for lunch menu is ready in just few minutes. Ingredients:
7-8 jumbo shrimps
1 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garamond Masala
Salt to taste
2 tbsp olive oil or cooking oil
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
How to make shrimp stir fry
1. Clean the shrimp and optionally remove the tail part. Wash it thoroughly with water for 4-5 times.

2. To a bowl of cleaned and washed shrimp, add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt.

3. Mix it well and keep it aside for 10 minutes.

4. Then add a drizzle of olive oil or any other vegetable oil, few drops of lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix it along. Shrimp is ready to go onto the tawa or pan or skillet.


5. Heat a griddle or a pan with a tbsp of cooking oil or movie oil.
Place the marinated shrimps and cook for 3-4 minutes.


6. Then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on medium flame.

Tip: the cooking time depends on the size of the shrimp you are using. Do not over cook the shrimps as they might turn rubbery.

7. Switch off the flame once the shrimps are cooked enough on both sides.

8. Serve the shrimp with white rice or just the shrimps as starters and enjoy!
