Also unlike atta halwa, where continuous stirring is required to get the desired halwa consistency, besan halwa takes a lot lesser time and of course less stirring. Let's quickly see how to prepare besan halwa. Just ignore the imperfections in the shape of the halwa, it just show how soft the halwa is! It easily melts down in your mouth :) Do give it a try. Ingredients: 1 cup of besan flour or Bengal gram flour or chick pea flour 1 cup ghee 3/4 cup of sugar 1 cup of water 1/4 cup of chopped cashews or almonds or pistachios How to make besan halwa: 1. But the taste of the dish is so damn good and you would end up making it atleast twice a week. Non-vegetarians can have a dash of egg when toasting the roll and it gets packed with more protein too! Also in today's recipe i have used, fresh home made paneer. Here is the list of ingredients for the dish. 200 gms of paneer cubes, preferably small cubes 2 green chillies 1 large onion, thinly sliced 1 small carrot (juveniles) salt to taste 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp hung curd/greek yogurt handful of mint leaves Paneer marination 3/4 tsp chat masala 3/4 tsp red chilli powder 3/4 tsp coriander powder 3/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp hung curd or greek yogurt 1 tsp ginger garlic paste Dough 2 cups of maida or all purpose flour 3/4 tsp salt
