Ingredients:
2 large potatoes, washed and thinly sliced
salt to taste
2 cups of water
1 tsp red chilli power
1 tbsp oil
How to make Tawa Potato Roast:
1. Peel off potato skin and wash them well. I have kept the skin on as i like it that way. Slice the potatoes thinly measuring about 1/8 of an inch approximately. Place it in cold water for a minute.

2. Boil the sliced potatoes in 2 cups of water for about 8-10 minutes.

3. Add salt while boiling. Switch off the flame and keep it aside.

4. Heat a heavy bottomed pan with a tbsp of oil.

5. Add sliced, boiled potatoes to the heate pan.

6. Sprinkle a tsp of red chilli powder and fry them on low-medium flame.

7. Spread the masala powder evenly using a brush or spatula. Alternatively you can make a paste of masala powder with a little bit of water, dip the sliced boiled potatoes and then add to the tawa.

8. After 2 minutes flip over and fry them on other side. Drizzle some oil if needed.

9. Add a sprig of curry leaves towards the end or when the potatoes are half done.

10. Once the potatoes turn little bit crispy turn off the stove.

11. Relish the crispy potato fry with curd rice or as starter.

12. It goes well with rasam rice too!
