Moringa leaves are rich in vitamins and iron and if taken regularly it provides us various health benefits such as healthy bones, helps in increasing WBC, to fight anemia etc., There are a wide variety of recipes/ways to consume moringa leaves. In today's recipe, i'm sharing my own go to breakfast recipe as it does not require any preparation time as such. I can prepare this while the tawa gets heated up as i have home grown moringa tree and is totally oraganic. Love the way it just branches out with a lot of flowers and drumsticks. I have shared the picture of the beauty as well.
I have used organic green chillies from my terrace garden. Look how beautiful it is!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup raagi flour
1/2 cup of moringa leaves
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 green chilli, finely chopped
salt to taste
1 tbsp ghee/cooking oil
Water as required, to knead the flour
Steps:
1. In a mixing bowl, add moringa leaves, sliced onions, chopped green chillies, salt and raagi flour.

2. Gently mix the ingredients well so that salt gets mixed well.
3. Add water little by little to form a dough. Then drizzle few drops of oil.

4. Knead again for few seconds. Form a round shaped dough.

5. Heat a tawa or a skillet and add ghee/oil.

6. Place the dough onto the tawa and using your fingers start spreading it across to form a circle.

Tip: You can also use a polythene or a butter paper to make the round shaped adai if you are not comfortable directly working on the warmed up tawa.

7. Drizzle some ghee on top of the adai.

8. Some more ghee on the sides. Cover it with a lid and cook on low flame for about 2 minutes.

9. Flip over, add some more ghee and cook it until done or for about 2 minutes by covering with a lid.

10. Voila! Healthy breakfast is ready.

11.You can enjoy it with sambar or idly podi. Do give it a try at your home and share your comments.
