In today's recipe, i will detail you through the steps of making Tangri kabab in tawa rather than using an oven. I have used hung curd and few indian spice powders then marinated it for about 2 hours before cooking on tawa. You should definitely try this recipe at your home and have it as a starter. It is a kid friendly recipe too.

Ingredients:
3 chicken thighs
1/2 cup hung curd
salt to taste
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp kasoori methi or dried fenugreek leaves (optional)
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 lemon, juiced
1. Clean the chicken thighs using half a tsp of turmeric powder and keep it aside.
2. Slit the chicken thighs so deep so that the marination gets well into the pieces.
3. Now add hung curd, garam masala powder, chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt , kasoori methi, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and lemon juice.
4. Mix the masala thoroughly and coat the chicken pieces into the masala. Let it sit in fridge for about 2 hours.
5. Heat a tawa or a skillet with a tbsp of cooking oil.
6. Place the marinated chicken pieces onto the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
7. Then flip the chicken pieces and add some oil.
8. After 2-3 minutes of cooking, flip the pieces and continue this process for about 18-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked well and tender.
Tip: Do not overcook as it might burn the chicken pieces.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve chicken tangri kabab as a starter or a side dish for rice.
10. Kids would definitely love this dish as it is so yum and also rich in iron content along with protein.
