Paneer Sticks

Paneer/Cottage cheese is always made once a week and i store it in my fridge as i like this protein rich vegetarian food and there are a list of dishes i make using paneer viz., paneer butter masala, paneer burji, kadai paneer, paneer capsicum masala, paneer sticks. Of all these recipes, paneer sticks needs no prep work and can be made within 10 minutes altogether. Do try this recipe and share your feedback. Happy Cooking!😍😍


1 large sized onion, thinly sliced.
2 sprig of curry leaves
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cooking oil
a pinch of turmeric powder
1 green chilli
1 tsp cumin seeds
250 gms of paneer/cottage cheese, cut into then rectange shaped ones.

Heat a non-stick pan with oil.

Once the oil is hot enough, add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Let it fry for few seconds.

Add chopped green chillies and sliced onions. Saute for 3-4 minutes on medium flame until onions become translucent.

Add spice powders red chilli powder, turmeric, salt and 1/4 cup of water. Mix it well and cook till water evaporates and oil starts releasing.

Add sliced paneer.

 fry on both sides till golden.

Finally toss well and switch off the flame.
