Chicken Fajita Pasta

Fajitas are usually cooked with steak but lately chicken breast pieces are commonly used. Fajitas could be made into a wrap or a pasta or eaten as such. Since pasta is one of my top favorite dishes i made chicken fajita pasta today and yum is the word to describe it's taste.

Chicken fajitas are definitely toddler friendly recipes and give it a try for your toddler too. This dish tastes more like Indian as the ingredients used are pepper powder, cumin powder, paprika. Fajita tastes best when served hot. Do give it a try as a wrap or with pasta and share your valuable feedback.



Ingredients:

1/2 cup penne pasta
2 tbsp cooking oil , olive oil preferred
1 chicken breast, cut into long strips
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp red chills powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp cumin powder
5-6 garlic pods, finely chopped
1 large onion
1/4 cup red bell pepper thinly sliced and or 1/4 cup thinly sliced yellow bell pepper
1/4 cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 tbsp Finely chopped coriander leaves
3 cups of milk, full fat milk preferred

Steps:

Heat a heavy bottomed Pam and add oil .



Once the oil is hot enough add chicken pieces.



Cool until it turns mild brown in color.



Transfer it to a plate. To the same pan add chopped garlic and fry for few secs.



I have used red and green bell peppers, you can use the other colors like orange and yellow.



Then add bell peppers.



Add onions.



Fry for about 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent. Then add partly cooked chicken strips.



Now add salt.



Add black pepper powder.



Add cumin.



Add chili powder/paprika.



Toss them well and cook further on low flame for about 3 minutes or until the oil oozes out.



Then add milk.



Keep the flame on low heat.



Add penne pasta and give it a mix.



Cook till the pasta is done.


Tada! Yummy chicken fajita pasta is ready.



Top it with some coriander leaves and Serve the pasta hot!
