Italian dishes are one of my favorite next to Indian cuisine. With that being said, i cook pasta once in a week for breakfast or dinner. I happily indulge myself in this food variety while my other family members are like what are you even eating while we have our Idly or dosa or chapati.

If i dont have pasta in my pantry ( i always use durum wheat pasta, needless to say) then i feel i'm missing some major ingredient in my kitchen as if we dont have rice or wheat flour.

That's how i got used to these days since i became a SAHM. In today's blog post, i will share how to make fusilli with marinara sauce.

There are few other pasta recipes in my blog,
Avocado spinach pesto pasta
Pasta soup for toddlers
White Sauce Pasta
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Fusilli pasta
3 cups of water
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
3 cloves, finely chopped
1/2 tsp black pepper powder.
3/4 cup of homemade marinara sauce
Steps:
Heat water in a sauce pan and bring it to rolling boil.

Add pasta and salt. Let it cook until soft.

Tip: Drain the cooked water and rinse it with cold water to prevent from further cooking.
Heat olive oil or butter in a pan. Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute.

Add marinara sauce. Cook for a minute. I have added tad bit of pasta herb mix on top of marinara sauce.

Add cooked pasta.

Toss well on high flame for few secs.

Finally sprinkle black pepper powder.

Tada! Fusilli pasta is ready. Serve the pasta topped with some grated cheese.
