I have some fond memories around hot chocolate drink. While i was working away from my home country, whenever i stepped into a coffee shop i was so reluctant to order any drinks from there. The reason is the coffee we get there is only black coffee unless and otherwise it is a frappuccino or a cappuccino or something of that sort, which is no way close to our filter coffee or the instant coffee we get here in chennai. One of my friend ordered hot chocolate for me and she said hot chocolate tastes close to bournvita and since then i order hot chocolate and really liked the flavor too.

There were so many instant dry recipes for hot chocolate, however i always wanted to make it fresh and immediately be served. Here is one such recipe today for you.

Ingredients:
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp fresh cream or malai
1 tsp of cocoa powder (sweetened or unsweetened)
1 or 2 tsp of sugar based on the cocoa powder used, or as per taste
1/2 tsp cocoa powder for dusting
Steps:
Add milk to a sauce pan.

Then add cocoa powder.

Add sugar.

Whisk well without any lumps of cocoa powder.

Now add 1 tbsp of fresh cream and whisk once.

Bring it to boil. Simmer down for few secs.

Switch off and pour it to a tall serving glass.

Add a tbsp of malai or fresh cream.

Finally dust it with a bit of cocoa powder.

Serve the hot chocolate immediately and slurp slurp!

Hot chocolate can also refrigerated for about an hour or so and served as a cold drink. In either ways, it just tastes yummy! This would definitely be a hit recipe among toddlers.
