Sugar syrup is ready.
Now, make small balls with kneaded gulab jamun dough.
Press at the center with your thumb to form a hollow space. Then place a choco chip.
cover it using your fingers.
Chocolate should not be seen outside. Seal it properly.
Then roll it to a smooth ball, without any cracks. Roll using your palms.
Make similar chocolate stuffed balls with rest of the dough.
Heat oil in a pan.
Once it is hot enough, reduce the flame to low-medium. Add 4-5 gulab jamun.
Gently flip them over often so that it gets cooked evenly.
Flame needs to be low as it helps to cook the center portion.
Once it is cooked, remove from oil.
Sugar syrup should be warm and not hot. If it is too hot, then chances are there the gulab jamuns may loose its shape.
Let the gulab jamun soak in syrup for about an hour to a minimum. Then slice and serve the jamun or just as such to treat the kids with a chocolaty surprise!!
